Set Solo Workshop 2025

Exploring the
2025 Set Solo

A deep dive into Rhiannon Newton’s ‘Repetition of day to day life’—guidance for teachers and dance educators to bring the Set Solo to life.

Originally commissioned for the 2014 and 2016 ATAR Dance curriculum, the 2025 Set Solo, ‘Repetition of day to day life,’ choreographed by Rhiannon Newton, will be the focus of an in-depth workshop led by Amy Wiseman. This session is designed to support teachers in engaging with the Set Solo materials, including the video and choreographic notes distributed to schools in October 2024.

The workshop will break down key sequences and explore the choreographic details of the solo, providing practical insights for effective teaching. Geared towards upper secondary school teachers preparing Year 10-12 students for ATAR Dance, this workshop is also ideal for independent contemporary dance teachers and recent tertiary graduates.
