This 2 hour introductory workshop will provide dance teachers with basic improvisational skills in order to generate material and explore new movement. Led by Jo Pollitt, this workshop will explore the use of improvisation to assist with turning literal movement into abstract movement and adding choreographic devices and elements of dance for a purpose. Great for a refresher or to reinvigorate your teaching practice, this workshop will provide teachers with strategies to share with students for successful facilitation in the classroom.
