A STRUT Dance and PIAF Connect presentation br>
br>
Since 2014 Antony Hamilton has been a key Australian artist in STRUT’s Master Workshop Series. Antony, with his long time collaborator Alisdair Macindoe, has conceived an intensive two-week choreography and stage-design master workshop for dance-theatre artists who wish to extend their own professional practice. br>
br>
Choreography br>
Hamiton’s movement is full of ritual and precision. It operates in a rigorous, almost mechanistic language of breaking, popping and locking. Yet it is imbibed with a humanity and humor that makes it truly original. br>
br>
Stage Design br>
Renowned for stunning visual components, Hamilton’s stage projects a thrilling combination of gritty street savvy and elegance. Hamilton and Macindoe’s latest work MEETING, presented in PIAF 2017, will be the starting point for the two-week master workshop. The workshop will also include studio research and in-theatre experience during the PIAF season, where participants will experience the bump-in, technical rehearsals and performances of MEETING. br>

Teaching br>
For those dance artists who are also instructors, there will also be an opportunity to be part of PIAF’s Education Program – where you can build your teaching practice with Hamilton and Macindoe. br>

This workshop is presented as part of STRUT’s 2017 Collaborations Program and PIAF Connect br>
