Consent is an intimate new performance by Tyrone Robinson, as part of Proximity Festival 2017.

What does it feel like to be the top of the food chain? Consent by Tyrone Robinson invites audiences to consider the value of a life and our capacity for empathy when confronted with our own power.

An experiment in human compassion. Involves artist nudity.

Proximity Festival 2017 is twelve days of micro-performances, intimate walking tours, caffeine-fuelled discussions and workshops in the heart of Perth’s newest inner city precinct Cathedral Square.

Proximity Performances
Tue 26 Sep- Sat 7 Oct (no performances Sun or Mon)
Sessions: 11:45am | 1:00pm | 2.30pm
Duration: 70 minutes no interval, includes briefing session
Tickets: $45 per program | $135 Marathon all programs
Location: Performances are across multiple venues within the Cathedral Square precinct. Performances start at the Perth Town Hall, Cnr Barrack & Hay St, Perth.Tickets limited, booking fees apply
Conditions of entry to Proximity Festival:
Ticket holders must arrive 5 minutes prior to the performance start time. Late entry will not be admitted. Proximity is an 18+ event. Please wear enclosed shoes. If you have access needs, please call us to book. Proximity Festival reserves the right to stop performances at any time for the health and safety of both artist and audience member.

TYRONE ROBINSON (WA)
Tyrone Robinson is a Perth-based artist who’s practice is grounded in contemporary dance, voguing and gesture. His most recent practice explores religion over time and culture. Tyrone has worked with Sue Peacock, Claudia Alessi, Dean Walsh, Matthew Morris, Rachel Ogle, Alice Lee Holland, Aimee Smith, Kyle Abraham and Kate Weare. For the past three years he has been teaching at the K2 dance studios, teaching many different styles of dance to people ranging in ages of 9 – 40. He began nurturing a connection to the east coast working with Lucy Guerin and recently created ‘KS Project’ a dance/art installation commissioned City of Perth for the opening the new Kings Square, in the Perth CBD.
