Silent Volumes is about witnessing an ethereal space that describes energy and light we’re able to source, gently command and transform into Sound. The project centres on the discovery, exploration and unearthing of this sound, which will emulate a language speaking to us from past, present and future. It’s the breath of the people and the places they inhabit on this earth – Land, sea, sky and everything in between.
This project encourages the people of this community to listen to their internal landscape and intuitively engage in the stories of the land upon which they live and to artistically draw these stories out into a soundscape.
