CIA Studios Industry Workshops – Puppet Mechanisms

CIA Studios is hosting a series of industry workshops aimed at supporting artist professional development throughout 2016. These full-day and half-day workshops cover a variety of different skills, from creative coding, making your own puppets and gadgets, video editing and professional writing in an arts context.
PUPPET MECHANISMS – November 12, 10am – 5pm
Want to know how analogue mechanisms work so you can make your own puppets, robotic toys and clever gadgets? No motors, batteries or previous experience required! We have a look at the two main kinds of mechanisms that exist out in the world (linear and rotary), and then emulate them in cardboard to see what awesome things we can get them to do!
