Dark Fantasy – Fringe World 2016

A fresh concept in dance theatre, Zahara Dance Company and WA Dance Company present DARK FANTASY – a story filled with Sorcery, Seduction, Hells Minions, Angels, Demons and the epic fight between good and evil. This will take audiences young and old on a spell binding journey, from beautiful angelic moments to the saucey depths of hells throne room, using a variety of dance styles.
Zahara Dance Company (ZDC) and WA Dance Company (WADC) together will fuse dance styles like Ballet, Belly dance, Hip Hop/Break dance, Contemporary, Raqs Gothic, Lyrical, Saidii, Jazz and Classical Egyptian to create many more new and exciting works like “Dark Fantasy” for audiences to enjoy.
ZDC founded in 2014 is a Multicultural Dance Company which aims encourage tolerance of multiculturalism to bridge the gap between multicultural dance (Belly dance, Folkloric, Turkish, Etc) and theatrical dance to highlight the beauty and similarities in the style represented. WADC founded in 2013 is focused on taking dance and workshops to regional WA to connect with our local remote communities and provide theatrical nourishment for local enthusiastsBoth companies work with our community partners to aid those in need by gifting workshop spaces, free tickets and a special full scholarship program for the at risk children and low socio-ecominc families. Regional tours are also planned in the future.
