Ausdance WA is funded by the State Government of Western Australia through the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industry.
Flourish is the final dance season at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts for 2015 and features four amazing works for lovers of all styles of dance, from the restaging of one of the world’s best-loved classical ballets, Paquita, by the “father of classical ballet” Marius Peptipa, to the highly physical work of acclaimed Australian choreographer, Sue Healey in Synchronicity. This season also sees WAAPA Dance alumnus, Rhiannon Newton return to work with WAAPA’s fabulous students. WAAPA Dance lecturer, performer and award-winning choreographer, Sue Peacock, rounds off proceedings with a brand new work called Endless Possibility that has just been premiered in Singapore at the World Dance Alliance conference.
Showcasing the talents of WAAPA’s 2nd and 3rd Year dance students, Flourish will be performed in the Geoff Gibbs Theatre at Edith Cowan University, Mount Lawley from Saturday 14 until Saturday 21 November.
