Summer Series Course for Dance Teachers

A 2 day professional development programme for Dance Teachers including Core Stability for Young Dancers and vital courses in First Aid.
The Royal Academy of Dance Faculty of Education CPD Programme is delighted to present all dance teachers with the opportunity to attend 1 or 2 days of courses supported by the West Australia Regional Advisory Panel. Teachers affiliated to any professional body or syllabi are welcome to attend and members of the RAD can claim 8 hours per day time valued CPD hours.

Core Stability for Young Dancers with tutor, Molly Tipping
This one day practical workshop will focus on core stability along with modifications for safe and effective practice in working with young dancers. The workshop aims to enhance teachers’ knowledge and understanding of core stability and how to best support young students’ development for optimal performance.

HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – three hours in duration. (Half Day)
The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course will provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies; whilst complying to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid course includes HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – eight hours in duration. (Full Day)
The Provide First Aid course complies with the Australian and New Zealand committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) Guidelines relating to the provision of first aid, and is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance.
Fees (early bird)
Core Stability for Young Dancers $200 full day
First Aid Course (Includes CPR) $125 full day
CPR component only $75 half day
