Based at the Midland Junction Arts Centre, TRACKSUIT through DADAA WA (Disability in the Arts, Disadvantage in the Arts WA), provides inclusive dance-based workshop and performance opportunities for adults with an experience of disability, mental health or social exclusion. Over the past five years, TRACKSUIT has been the vehicle to develop interesting, diverse and personable movers willing to share their stories, willing to expand the definition of ‘dance’ and willing to broaden the aesthetics of ‘the dancer’.
TRACKSUIT 2014 includes a premiere of a new work ‘Royal’ created by Tracksuiters in collaboration with dance artist Paige Gordon. There will be multiple screenings of the short films created during the 2014 TRACKSUIT/SCITECH partnership and post-performance Artist Forums chaired by industry Featured Guests.
