¡Uno! ¡Dos!

With clicking castanets, stamping feet, vibrant swirling costumes, live Flamenco music and the rapturous energy of more than forty dancers, Danza Viva brings ¡Uno! ¡Dos! to the Dolphin Theatre. The show features performers from both the Company and Academy with an age-range of six to seventy – proof that Flamenco is for anybody who has a true passion for it.
Director Sofia Pratt says: ‘I have been privileged to see first-hand how devotion to Flamenco brings people together – whether they are studying recreationally or with a view to joining the professional Company, whether they are young or old, Spanish or not – even when they are from completely different backgrounds. It was watching my littlest dancers gazing with admiration at the ‘big girls’ who had been my little ones only a short time ago that sparked ¡Uno! ¡Dos! as an exploration of the relationships born out of shared love of art, the communities they create, and the enduring inspiration they bring to our lives.’
