Step back in time with ‘Ignorance was Bliss’, a captivating 60-minute dance-theatre experience that transports audiences to a bygone era of innocence and euphoria. Originally premiered at FRINGE WORLD 2023, this site-specific rendition takes place within the enchanting walls of the Liberty Theatre, a nostalgic throwback to the 1950s.
Created by the dynamic collaboration of Enneagon Movement, led by Giorgia Schijf and Minni Karamfiles, ‘Ignorance was Bliss’ is a mesmerising fusion of dance, film, lighting, and music, culminating in a five-night spectacle in the heart of Perth’s CBD in May 2024. But the experience doesn’t stop there. Prior to each performance, indulge in free swing dance classes, open to the public and designed to get you in the groove.
