The regional program has been set up to expand the engagement of regional WA communities in contemporary dance. This is done through promoting regional tours and supporting regional dance artists to create contemporary dance works with and for their communities.

This program is managed by a Regional Contemporary Dance Facilitator.

The regional program has been funded since 2010 by the state government of WA through the Department of Culture and the Arts, and since 2012 by the federal government through the Australia Council for the Arts.

Future Landings

Future Landings was a biannual production arm of the Regional Program. Ausdance WA commissioned and oversaw the delivery of contemporary dance performances in three regional towns/centres. These productions were created by and for the community they are delivered in, and as such belong to these communities. Find out more about the Future Landings program.
