WHORL – A SEATED DANCE PERFORMANCE

WHORL is a new seated dance performance opportunity. Open to community and virtuoso dancers, this new work will premiere at the Mandurah Arts Festival 2024. Choreographed by Paige Gordon, with music by Louis Frere-Harvey, this is the second work in a triptych of seated dance performances (after WINGSPAN, 2022). The choreography will be effective in its simplicity, featuring movements that explore natural spirals, structures and the motif of winding and unwinding.
Once you have registered you will receive a link to the choreography and music to practice in your own time and space. Then connect with your fellow dancers at a compulsory Community Rehearsal before performing the work twice at Mandurah Arts Festival events Peel Makers Market and Music Under the Bridge
