Teaching Primary Dance and Drama

Teaching Primary Dance and Drama Professional Development Workshop

with Rachael Bott (Creative Moves WA) and Gabrielle Metcalf

Empowering Primary Teachers to confidently deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned dance and drama lessons.

Ausdance WA welcomes two art form specialist educators who will lead an engaging professional development day. This full-day workshop is aimed at Performing Arts specialists and generalist teachers from Pre Primary – Year 6, who are eager to enhance their dance and drama curriculum skills and diversify their expertise. Both hands-on sessions will offer practical tools that will suit those new to these curriculum areas, and those who feel like they could use some fresh ideas to add to their skill set.

Dance with Rachael Bott (Creative Moves WA) will focus on warm-ups, games, creative tasks and tips on dance-specific classroom management. Drama with Gabrielle Metcalf will focus on practical drama activities that can be used within an arts program and/or integrated across other curriculum areas.

Dance and Drama both support the social-emotional development of students while fostering creativity, critical thinking and collaboration skills in the classroom.

Join Ausdance WA for a dynamic day of development and networking with fellow educators.
